Kaleidoscope

As Captain Hollis and his crew drift farther and farther into space, the captain can't help but let himself sort through his life's memories and regrets. Ray Bradbury demonstrates how important life really is in this sweet and powerful story conveying how valuable friendship and teamwork are. In "Kaleidoscope," a crew of astronauts find themselves stranded when concussions cut open their rocket and the pressure forces them out into open space. Like the misfortune that happened upon Captain Horris and his crew, many astronauts have been put in similar situations. Like Captain Horris' shuttle, the Challenger exploded back in 1986. Although the astronauts aboard the Challenger were killed instantly, Captain Horris' crew survived the explosion but were left stranded in space.
In the future, I imagine that there will be different precautions that will keep our astronauts safe from this most unfortunate tragedy.
